Project No. 229 · November 2017
A room for two kids: two horizontal wall beds, a sofa and a fold-down desk
Two beds fold along the wall: one has a turquoise sofa in front, the other a fold-down desk on metal legs. Open shelves between them; opposite, a chest of drawers with bookshelves and a second desk.
About the project
Both beds are horizontal, so the unit stays low and leaves free wall above it. In front of the first bed is a turquoise sofa: the seats lift up to reveal storage boxes. The second bed is closed by a desk on metal legs; as the bed opens, the desk stays level and slides under it.
Open, the beds have soft turquoise backrests and side panels. Narrow open shelves stand between the beds and at the ends.
On the opposite wall is a light grey chest with drawers, a door and open bookshelves, and another desk by the window.
