Project No. 234 · October 2017
A platform bed with drawers and a crawl-in storage passage underneath
A bed on a tall base in a narrow bedroom: two drawer blocks and a door at the front, a lift-up mattress base, and inside a passage lined with shelves along the whole bed.
About the project
The bed sits on a tall carcass. At the front there are three drawers on each side with a door between them. Behind the door a passage runs under the whole bed, lined with open shelves on both sides – big enough to climb into.
The mattress base lifts on a mechanism, opening the same space and the shelves by the window from above.
The head of the bed sits in a semicircular niche with two wall lamps, and rounded shelves at the sides take the place of nightstands. All the furniture is cream.
