How we make a wall bed: from order to installation
What happens at our factory in Chișinău after you sign the order: cutting the boards, welding the frame, sewing, edge banding, drilling, assembly and delivery.
We have been making furniture in our own factory in Chișinău since the summer of 2013. A wall bed passes through several workshops, and some of the work runs in parallel so you don't wait longer than needed. Here is its route.
1. The order
The manager agrees the model, size, decor, fabric and side modules with you; then you sign the contract and pay the deposit. If the project is not a standard one, before that we come to measure, draw the furniture in 3D, and our technologist prepares the parts for production.
2. Four jobs at once
- Cutting. Chipboard or MDF panels in the chosen decor, from the Egger and Kronospan ranges, are cut to size.
- The metal frame. We weld the bed base, with its beech slats, in our own workshop. It carries the mattress and up to 150 kg.
- Sewing. If the bed has a sofa or a soft headboard, they are sewn in our upholstery shop.
- Hardware. The mechanism, gas struts and fittings are prepared for your order.
3. Edge banding and drilling
The panel edges get their edging, then the holes for hinges, mechanism and assembly are drilled.
4. Assembly
The body, the frame and the mechanism are put together and checked.
5. Delivery and installation
The furniture travels to you packed in parts. Our fitters install it, or you can put it together yourself with the video and paper instructions; the manager will tell you what applies in your town.
Production time depends on the order, and we agree it when the contract is signed. The film below shows the factory.
